Volunteering @ St Nicks

Here at St Nick's we have a wonderful team of volunteers who help with services, run community groups, carry out pastoral work and help out at events run by the church. If you would like to be involved please contact the Church office using our contact us page. Please note all volunteering positions are subjected to safer recruitment procedures and in line with our safeguarding policy.

Potential volunteer roles include:

Helping to serve drinks and snacks at our preschool group Play n Praise

Joining our Youth group team

Assisting at Sunday services as part of the refreshments team

Church officer roles such as; welcomer, reader or prayer ministry

Working as part of our pastoral team

Becoming a member of our PCC

All volunteers could be required to have a Church of England DBS and undertake safeguarding training depending on the volunteering role. We follow the safer recruitment procedures outlined by Diocese of Derby for all positions.
